Getty Images Paramount is circling release dates for two horror sequels: the new “Crawl” movie starring Mason Gooding and Emily Rudd, and “Heart Eyes 2.”
The yet-to-be-titled “Crawl” sequel is set for July 16, 2027. Alexandre Aja — who directed the 2019 horror thriller, which was a breakout box office success — is back in the director’s chair for the follow-up. Aja is also producing the killer alligator movie alongside Craig Flores and Sam Raimi, with Gregory Levasseur, Kevan Van Thompson and Zainab Azizi as executive producers. The sequel is written by Jason Harry Pagan & Andrew Deutschman and Aja & Gregory Levasseur.
Meanwhile, “Heart Eyes 2” will move up a week to Feb. 4, 2028. The Heart Eyes Killer, the deranged murderer who strikes on Valentine’s Day, was originally set for a big-screen return on Feb. 11. Paramount Pictures is co-producing and co-financing Spyglass Media Group’s “Heart Eyes 2” for worldwide distribution. Sony Pictures distributed the first film, which earned $33 million at the global box office against an $18 million budget in 2025.
