Country Music Hall of Fame The Country Music Hall of Fame announced its newest inductees in a media event Friday morning in the museum’s rotunda, revealing Tim McGraw, Paul Overstreet and the Stanley Brothers as the hall’s class of 2026.
Only three artists or industry figures are inducted each year, in contrast to some halls of fame that spread the honors around a bit more broadly, and each is voted in via a different category. The two categories that come up every year are the Modern Era Artist category and the Veterans Era Artist category. McGraw is coming in through the contemporary entrance, and the Stanley Brothers — who began recording in 1947 — through the old-school door.
