Controversial “looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular says he’s quitting drugs, maybe permanently, after being hospitalized for a suspected overdose earlier this week.

The 20-year-old, whose real name is Braden Peters, cut a Kick stream short on Tuesday after he appeared to be out of it while at a bar with friends. His friends appeared visibly concerned before the stream was eventually turned off, and Peters was taken to a hospital.

On Wednesday, he told his followers he was “good” but didn’t want to talk about the details of what had happened. “I ain’t gonna be doing any of that shit anymore,” he said. “I ain’t going to be doing any more substances for a little while, hopefully forever.”

“So I think I have to figure something else out,” he continued. “I have to figure out a new method. Either practice mogging sober or just find a new form of content. I don’t know. It’s fucking done for.”

Later that same night, Peters made an appearance at the grand opening for Bacara Club in Miami.

Peters spoke out about his medical emergency on Tuesday, calling the ordeal “brutal” in a social media post. “Just got home, that was brutal,” he said. “All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution. The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.” He included a photo of himself with blood on his face.

Another influencer, Androgenic, who was there and allegedly offered Peters Adderall that day, commented on the episode on social media. “I hadn’t seen him in this state before and he went from speaking to being fairly unresponsive in mere seconds,” the influencer reported. “Within a minute we all realized the situation, turned the stream off, picked him up and rushed him to the hospital.” (Peters was previously arrested with possessing/using a dangerous drug, including Adderall and an oral steroid, in Arizona, though prosecutors declined to press charges.)

Peters has become known for “looksmaxxing,” or going to extreme lengths to maximize his perceived attractiveness. The New York Times previously reported that Peters has “injected and ingested dozens of controlled substances” since the age of 14. Last year, he appeared on a stream with the influencer Cheesur, where he admitted to using methamphetamine to curb his appetite. He also noted that he is infertile as a result of his steroid intake.
