Gilbert Flores/Variety Charles Melton, the star of “Beef” and “May December,” will join Matt Damon in the new movie from Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the filmmaker duo known as the Daniels. The project, which is described as an “event film,” marks the pair’s follow-up to “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”
Plot details remain under wraps, but production is expected to begin in Los Angeles this summer. The film’s release date was moved from June 12, 2027 to Nov. 19 of the same year. Damon stepped up to replace Ryan Gosling, who left the picture. “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Killing Eve” star Sandra Oh is also in talks to join the project. Kwan, Scheinert and Jonathan Wang will produce through their company Playgrounds.
