Throughout its entire 54-year history, “The Price Is Right” never aired a live episode — until this fall. CBS revealed Wednesday that it has ordered “The Price Is Right Live,” a one-hour special set to air during the holiday season. Drew Carey will host.

“‘The Drew Carey Show’ actually aired live episodes, and he loves what he does,” CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said on Wednesday during CBS’ fall schedule announcement press conference. “I would never not do it without him!”
