BBCConleth Hill will be joining the Peaky Blinders TV series, the BBC has announcedStephen Knight's award-winning drama series Peaky Blinders is coming back for a new series, with a host of new faces.
Set a decade after World War Two, a new era of Peaky Blinders beckons, with Duke (Jamie Bell) and Charles Shelby (Charlie Heaton) finding themselves in a race to rebuild Birmingham, facing uncertainty and potential jeopardy.
Conleth Hill joins as Clemmy Keeler, the fierce patriarch of the Keeler gangster family, who rival the Peaky Blinders' ambitions to rebuild the city.
Speaking previously about the new series, creator Stephen Knight said: "I am thrilled that we are announcing a new era of Peaky Blinders, moving the story to post-war Birmingham in the early 50s."

Previously announced to join the series - although details of their roles have been kept under wraps for now - are Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski.
Cal O'Driscoll will be joining as Clemmy's son, Aidan Keeler and Daniel Monks will be taking on the role of Detective Inspector Bell.
Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee are set to reprise their roles from the series, and Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
The Birmingham-based drama, first screened in 2013, is currently being filmed in and around Digbeth Loc. Studios, near to Birmingham city centre.
Production of the series is the first commission after a new BBC partnership agreement signed with West Midlands Combined Authority and Create Central to expand BBC and partner production, backed by an annual £40m investment in the West Midlands.
This new series, and series eight, are set to be six one-hour episodes that will be screened on BBC and BBC iplayer in the UK, and worldwide on Netflix.
