Democratic strategist James Carville on Sunday encouraged Trump administration staffers to start leaking details about closed door dealings within the White House in an effort to save their careers.

Carville has shared numerous predictions that President Trump and Republicans will lose power after the midterm elections, leading to intense backlash for individuals closely associated with the White House.

“No one’s gonna wanna hire anybody out of the Trump Administration. And the way that you get right with history is start leaking,” Carville advised current administration officials during his Politicon podcast.

“And you position yourself as the person [that] had tried to tell us. That’s the only future you have. Leak like a sieve. Leak like a broken faucet. Leak everywhere. You’re already leaking. Everybody’s leaking on you, everybody’s leaking on everybody else,” he added.

White House officials have already begun to share concerns about potential leaks after The New York Times reported on multiple conversations on the security of the Situation Room.

Last month, the Trump administration proposed that federal workers sign nondisclosure agreements to reinforce “accountability” and help agencies “better protect” against unauthorized disclosures.

However, Carville said any efforts to prevent internal conversations from being unearthed won’t stick.

“Trust no one — that’s my message to anybody that works in this administration,” Carville said on Sunday.

“And I’ll give you one piece of advice, Donald Trump. Everybody is out for you, even your own people. Be scared, be very afraid,” he added.
