Bunim Murray/51 Minds Banijay Americas labels Bunim/Murray Productions and 51 Minds Entertainment have announced the joint promotion of Margaret Morales and Mike Vanderlinde to vice president, production, at the two labels. The news was announced by Zachary Klein, the chief operating officer at Bunim/Murray Productions and 51 Minds Entertainment. Both Morales and Vanderlinde formerly served as executive in charge, production, for the two Los Angeles-based unscripted studios. In their new positions, Morales and Vanderlinde will oversee physical production of a diverse slate for both Bunim/Murray and 51 Minds, which includes docuseries, global competition shows, and branded content. Morales, who began working at Bunim/Murray in 2009, has worked on shows such as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” most recently helping produce “The Challenge” and multiple news series set to be announced later this year. Vanderlinde, who has managed production on various series for Bunim/Murray dating back to 2009, recently helped produce “Vanderpump Villa,” “The Family Stallone” and “The Never Ever Mets.” “Margaret and Mike are exceptional production leaders,” said Klein in a statement. “Their combination of operational expertise, creative partnership, and global production experience has been instrumental to some of our most complex and high-profile series, and we look forward to their continued leadership across our slate in their new roles.” During her 17 years with the company, Morales has led production management teams for some of the company’s major franchises and spearheaded the logistics for Bunim/Murray’s first global hub, when “The Challenge” expanded its global footprint with local versions produced for Argentina, the U.K. and Australia. Vanderlinde has also managed a wide range of projects across development and production during his tenure, including “The Challenge” and “Buddy Games.” Vanderlinde entered the television industry in 2004 and has worked across some of the most recognized franchises in unscripted television, including “The Real World,” “Project Runway” and “The Amazing Race.” In addition to his work at Bunim/Murray and 51 Minds, Vanderlinde has contributed to projects from several prominent production companies, including A. Smith & Co., B17 Productions, 495 Productions and WorldRace Productions.
