Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) filled in as guest host on former Rep. Matt Gaetz’s primetime show at the pro-MAGA network One America News (OAN).

The Monday night broadcast featured Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), election lawyer Cleta Mitchell, comedian Rob Schneider, Citizens Alliance CEO Cliff Maloney and Christian singer and songwriter Sean Feucht.

A promo for Boebert’s appearance showed discussions on topics like the “rampant” issue of noncitizens voting in U.S. elections and the “radical Democratic Socialists of America’s plan to tear up the constitution.”

During the program, Boebert referred to Gaetz as a “friend.”

Gaetz resigned from Congress in late 2024 after President Trump nominated him to be attorney general which was later withdrawn. The House Ethics Committee opened an investigation into Gaetz in 2021 over allegations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use. In December 2024, it released a report, which found evidence that Gaetz “engaged in sexual activity with a 17-year-old girl” and from 2017 to 2019 “used or possessed illegal drugs.”

Boebert continued with her remarks by calling out an incident in New Jersey which registered 6,600 noncitizens to vote. Gov. Mikie Sherrill confirmed this last week and attributed the mistake to a Motor Vehicle Commission system software error.

She has been a continuous critic of current voter registration standards. In a NewsNation interview in February, the Congresswoman said “illegals should not be voting in our election” and called for Republican leadership to push the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act.

The act proposes stricter voter identification laws and narrows the type of documents that can be used to register to vote. It has created a major clash between Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) and President Trump, who wants the bill to pass through the Senate before its August recess.

“We voted on it two, three, four, five times already, had it up on the floor for an extended period of time. Show me how this ends. What’s the picture of victory at the end?” Thune said Monday as he walked into the Capitol.

“John Thune should not allow the United States Senate to ‘leave town’ until it passes The Save America Act or, far better still, TERMINATES THE FILIBUSTER, where Republicans can then quickly pass everything they ever dreamed of,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
