Barry Manilow's Lexington concert was postponed due to "unforeseen circumstances" on Tuesday. Mat Hayward/Getty Images Barry Manilow‘s concert in Lexington, Kentucky, was postponed just as the doors of Rupp Arena were scheduled to open.
The announcement shared on the singer’s social media simply read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances tonight’s show in Lexington has been rescheduled.” An exact reason for the postponed event was not provided.
In a separate statement, the venue said that all previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new date once it is announced.
According to local NBC affiliate Lex News, this is the second time Manilow has postponed the stop in Lexington. He was previously set to take the stage on March 9, but rescheduled that performance as he continued to recover from lung cancer, per the outlet.
Manilow still appears to be scheduled to perform in Cincinnati on Wednesday.
The singer announced back in December that he would undergo surgery to remove a “cancerous spot” on his lung. He was scheduled to kick off his 2026 farewell tour dates in January, but was forced to reschedule. Then, in February, Manilow told fans that he would have to push back the dates again as he needed more time to recover before appearing on stage.
More postponements followed including his Vegas residency in February and March, as was the Northwest U.S. leg of his farewell tour that was scheduled for April and May.
