Bad Bunny performs during the Apple Music Halftime Show Jamie Schwaberow/Sports Illustrated via Getty Images Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX Halftime Show won seven Emmys Saturday at the Creative Emmy Awards, breaking the record for most Emmys won by a halftime performance.
Sabrina Carpenter also won her first Emmy Award, taking home the outstanding variety special (pre-recorded) trophy as performer and executive producer on Disney+’s The Muppet Show reboot; Carpenter beat Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour | The Final Show in the category.
Bad Bunny won his first Emmy in the outstanding variety special (live) category, where his Super Bowl performance became only the second halftime show — after Kendrick Lamar’s the year before — to win that award. The halftime show also won in the categories of music direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction/camerawork and directing.
(Saturday Night Live also won for outstanding makeup for a variety, nonfiction or reality program for its Bad Bunny-hosted episode, though the host won’t receive an award for that one.)
