The B.B. King Music Company and the legendary blues musician’s estate have announced the development of a new feature documentary celebrating his life, music, influence and legacy. The documentary is currently in development, with additional announcements regarding the creative team, production, distribution and release plans to follow.

The documentary is expected to explore King’s journey from his beginnings in the Mississippi Delta to international superstardom, his groundbreaking career as a guitarist and vocalist, and his profound impact on blues, rock, soul, jazz and popular music. After a long and storied career, King died in 2015 at the age of 89.
