Credit: Isabel Faulkner/Courtesy of Frank Publicity Colorado’s Red Rocks Ampitheatre hosted nearly 10,000 guests over the July 4th holiday for Andrea Gibson: Love Letter From the Afterlife, a special event made up of music, poetry and performances to honor the life of the late poet.
Presented by the team behind the Gibson-focused Oscar-nominated documentary Come See Me in the Good Light, the multimedia event featured a film screening of Gibson’s final performance before her death in July 2025, musical performances by Sara Bareilles, Chris Pureka and the Colorado Symphony conducted by Blake Neely and words from Gibson’s partner, the poet, author and writing instructor Megan Falley. “If you were there that night, I think you’d agree we witnessed a miracle,” Falley shared on Instagram days later.

They’re going to try and recreate that miracle on the road. Tickets go on sale Aug. 14 for a November tour of Andrea Gibson: Love Letter from the Afterlife that will feature Falley, the Goosebump Orchestra and “extremely special guests” across a 14-date run. Expect the same: Each stop will be a multimedia mash-up of film, poetry, music, orchestral accompaniment and storytelling in Gibson’s honor with artists, collaborators and creative insiders in Gibson and Falley’s circle.
It kicks off at the Fitzgerald Theater in Saint Paul, Minnesota on Nov. 4, with additional stops in Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Toronto, New York, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania and Illinois.
The centerpiece of each event will be a screening of Love Letter From the Afterlife, a film directed by Oscar nominee Ryan White, who also directed Come See Me in the Good Light. It captures Gibson’s final performance at Denver’s Paramount Theatre in 2024. At each stop, the Goosebump Orchestra or a local symphony will perform Neely’s original score live alongside Gibson’s performance.
Love Letter From the Afterlife was produced by White, Tig Notaro, Jessica Hargrave and Stef Willen with an team of executive producers that includes Gibson, Falley, Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, Lauren Haber, Joe Lewis, Rachel Eggebeen, Colin King Miller, Catherine Carlile, Brandi Carlile, Susan Yeagley, Kevin Nealon, Galia Gichon, Bareilles, Amanda Doyle, Christi Offutt, Soraida Bedoya, Melony Lewis and Adam Lewis.
“When I chose to name the show Love Letter from the Afterlife, I didn’t realize how fully I was describing what was about to happen. At Red Rocks, 10,000 of us arrived believing we had come to remember Andrea. We left feeling we had heard from them directly. Nothing can replace being in a room with Andrea. But for anyone who never had that good fortune, I hope this tour offers something I didn’t know was possible: the feeling that Andrea is still speaking, and speaking directly to you,” said Falley in a statement.

Gibson emerged as a celebrated spoken word poet, and went on to author five full-length poetry collections and an illustrated book as well as seven albums. A cancer diagnosis in 2021 derailed a busy tour schedule as Gibson received treatment. Though Gibson recovered enough to attend a Sundance showing of White’s film, which won a festival favorite award, she succumbed to ovarian cancer on July 14, 2025.
