Alex Cooper to Make Acting Debut in Colleen Hoover’s ‘Verity’ Adaptation

Alex Cooper is making her movie debut in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover‘s thriller novel, Verity, this fall. In the upcoming movie, Cooper will play herself and interview Verity Crawford (played by Anne Hathaway) in a fictionalized episode of Call Her Daddy.

The trailer for Verity was unveiled at CinemaCon on Wednesday. Verity follows writer Lowen Ashleigh (played by Dakota Johnson) who is scouted to ghostwrite the remainder of a book series by Crawford (Hathaway), who cannot finish it due to a cryptic accident. During the process, Ashleigh discovers a hidden manuscript that reveals ominous secrets about Crawford. Verity will also star Josh Hartnett. It arrives in theaters on Oct. 2.
