College football fans are getting another edition of the Third Saturday in October this weekend with the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers. hosting the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide in Knoxville.
The SEC powerhouses will enter Neyland Stadium with identical records — 5-1 overall, 3-1 SEC — and both will be looking to recover their confidence after less-than-stellar performances last weekend. Alabama suffered its first loss of the season, falling 20-17 to the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs, and Tennessee cut it far too close with a 24-17 win against the unranked Arkansas Razorbacks.

One of the biggest factors will be Tennessee’s home field advantage. The Vols have beaten the Tide the last two times Alabama visited Neyland, and they’re 32-8 at home since 2021. Still, oddsmakers are predicting that Bama will overcome the Vols’ energy, favoring the Tide by 7.5 points. For those who can’t make it to Neyland, ABC will handle a national broadcast.
