AI and its rapidly expanding role in film and television production took center stage at a FilMart, which gathered five industry veterans across technology, directing and production to discuss the hot topic.

Opening the session, Oscar-winning filmmaker Ruby Yang, who heads the School of Future Media at the University of Hong Kong, announced the launch of a new master’s program in Creative AI and Filmmaking, signaling a growing push to bridge academia and industry as AI tools gain traction across production pipelines.
