Netflix “Adolescence” still isn’t done dominating awards season.
After picking up nine Emmys last September, the hit Netflix show garnered a cornocupia of nominations and wins on both sides of the Atlantic, including at the Actors Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, Independent Spirit Awards, Golden Globes, Broadcasting Press Guild Awards and Royal Television Society Programme Awards.
Now the series, which stars Owen Cooper as a young teenager arrested for the murder of a female classmate, has picked up 12 BAFTA nominations, including for Cooper, who will go head-to-head in the supporting actor category with co-star Ashley Walters. Other cast members nominated include Stephen Graham, Christine Tremarco and Erin Doherty. The series has also picked up a number of craft awards, including for directing, photography and lighting, casting, sound and lighting.
