Courtesy of Adobe Adobe said on Thursday it has purchased Topaz Labs, an Emmy-winning AI company specializing in image and video enhancement.
The company plans to integrate Topaz’s tools into its Firefly AI studio, enterprise products and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, hoping to give creators using Firefly more control over the quality of their images and videos. Topaz, which was founded more than two decades ago, developed a “Neurostream” technology that allows AI models to run locally on consumer devices to widen who can use its image and video models.
