Adam Sandler will star in “Time Out,” a remake of the French psychological drama “L’Emploi Du Temps” for Netflix. Christian Bale had reportedly been circling the project, which will be directed by Scott Cooper.

Sandler has long made Netflix his creative home, releasing broad comedies like “Murder Mystery” and “Happy Gilmore 2,” as well as more artistic entries in his filmography, such as “The Meyerowitz Stories” and last year’s “Jay Kelly” for the streamer.
