(KTLA) — An alleged serial Tesla vandal linked to more than a dozen incidents over the past two weeks has been arrested, authorities in Orange County, Calif., announced Wednesday.

Last week, Irvine, Calif., police shared video of a suspect spray-painting a Tesla in a shopping center parking garage on July 17 at about 10:30 p.m.

Three other Teslas were also found vandalized in the same parking garage.

Four days later, on July 24, police said they believed the serial spray painter had struck again and released updated surveillance footage on Facebook showing additional images of the suspect walking through the garage.

Investigators said the same man later returned and vandalized nine more Teslas with spray paint.

On Wednesday, Irvine police said that during the investigation, detectives learned of a separate verbal altercation in the city in which a man was seen spitting on a Tesla that was stopped at an intersection.

The suspect was identified as Max Sebastian Solomon, a 25-year-old Irvine resident. According to police, Solomon was carrying a takeout order during one of the incidents, and investigators used information from the order to identify and locate him.

Solomon was taken into custody and booked into the Orange County Jail on felony vandalism charges.

Investigators believe Solomon vandalized a total of 13 Teslas.
