Football star Travis Kelce not only captured the Grammy winner’s heart, but their love story has also captured the world’s. Though they keep their relationship private, they also haven’t been shy about showing up for each other and occasionally praising each other in interviews.
Over the last three years, fans have followed their relationship, which started with a friendship bracelet and led to an engagement that broke the internet.
As speculation continues over their rumored wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weekend, The Hollywood Reporter is looking back at Travis and Taylor’s love story, below.

It all began in July 2023, when Travis attended Swift’s Eras Tour show at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. He went to the concert with fellow Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
After, Travis shared on an episode of his New Heights podcast, which he hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce, that he tried to give the singer his number via a friendship bracelet (which has become a tradition at Swift’s concerts) but failed.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she songs. So I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he said. “But I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”
